SIMPLICITY - THERIN LIES THE CAUGHT

SIMPLICITY – THERIN LIES THE CAUGHT

Like a groom inspecting horses for their masters
Before a final price is agreed upon

Like a terminally ill patient being told by his doctor
About a miraculous cure which could cheat Death for a while longer

Like a shrewd experienced business-man
Who is about to make a sudden un-contested conquest

Like a cautious house-wife examining plums for blemishes
Because the price quoted was cheap

Like a Defendant being told by his advocate
About new-found loop-holes in the Plaintiff’s Pleas

Like a beggar  peering down at his begging bowl
Upon the sight of currency notes where normally coins reside

Like monkeys on a wall huddling together
Not knowing which way to jump

So do we all perceive and regard the words
Of a Messiah sent down to take believers back safely within his fold

The words running in each of our minds are
If the way is so clear and simple, where is the CATCH?
